Albus is our albino/whitefaced LutinoCockatiel. He is named Albus becauseof my love for Harry Potter and alsobecause Albus means white in Latin. He was first owned by an animal hoarder in horrible conditions, and hestill has the scars and bald spots fromwhere the other birds picked at him. Hethen was rescued by the Humane Society, and then sent to a bird rescue called Wings Over the Rainbow which is wherewe got him. He's only about a year. Heis adorable, and also my first bird.
OriannaOrianna is our albino African PygmyHedgehog. She is about 2 years now, maybe. My sister wanted a new petand she looked up a breeder online.Orianna is sweet once she gets toknow you. It's good because we have 2 dogs and a cat, and I always say "I'd like to see them try" because she is very painfulwhen she wants to be. She's agreat pet, if you know whatyou're doing. Orianna meansblonde in Welsh, I believe, andour grandmother's name wasOrianne.
Spatsyaka 'Batty Cat'Spatsy is our miracle cat. He's a domestic shorthair tuxedo cat. He was a stray, or so we thought. He would wander around from house to house, and he had ear mites eating him up. So we decided to take him to the vet, and asked his ownersif we could. They said, "we don't believe in spending money on thecat." We took him to the vet and got himstraightened out. He has had a TON ofclose calls, and we say he has 19 lives. And miraculously, my mom and I are not allergic to him.
my baby. This is my almost-11 year old poodle/bichon frise mix, Sparkle. We were told she was purebred Bichon but it soon became apparent that she was not. She never got the fur around her face that bichons have (the 'fro'). She is the love of my life. I got her for Christmas 11 years ago, and I was trying to think of a non cliche name and I had a black dress on that had multicolor glitter. Thus Sparkle.
This is Snowbunny, our younger Bichon rescue. We got her from Small Paws Rescue, where they buy/rescue dogs from puppy mills.
